[O goddess Sarada, O goddess Durga,

 I offer my obeisance  to you.] 

हे देवी सारदा, हे देवी दुर्गा, 

मैं आपको दण्डवत प्रणाम करता हूँ।

वाणि लक्ष्मि महामाये मायापाशविनाशिनी।।२।। 

[O Mother Sarada! You are Mahamaya, the great Maya,

 the destroyer of Maya (the illusion of the lion cub). 

You are the Goddess of Speech (Mata Saraswati)

 and Mother Lakshmi in one form..]

 

श्री श्री माँ सारदा और आप ,
 मैं ...या कोई भी ...

हे माँ सारदा ! आप माया का (सिंह-शावक के) भ्रम रूपी पाश का नाश करने वाली 

'महामाया' महान माया हैं आप एक ही आधार में,

 वाक् देवी (माता सरस्वती) तथा माता लक्ष्मी हैं !   

नमस्ते सारदे देवि राधे सीते सरस्वति।।३।। 

O goddess Sarada, Radha, Sita and Saraswati,

 I offer my obeisance to you.

हे देवी सारदा, राधा, सीता और सरस्वती, मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ।

सर्वविद्याप्रदायिण्यै संसारार्णवतारिणी ।।४।। 

She gives all knowledge to her devotees 

and takes them beyond the cycle of birth and death.

वह अपने भक्तों को सारा ज्ञान (अपरा और परा दोनों) प्रदान करती हैं और उन्हें,

 संसार -सागर (जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र) से पार ले जाती हैं।

सा मे वसतु जिह्वायां मुक्तिभक्तिप्रदायिनी।।५।।    

May that bestower of liberation and

 devotion dwell on my tongue.

मोक्ष और भक्ति  दोनों देने में समर्थ (श्री श्री माँ सारदा देवी) 

देवी मेरी जिह्वा पर निवास करें।

सारदेति जगन्माता कृपागङ्गा प्रवाहिनी।। ६।।  

Sarada is the mother of the universe and the flowing river of mercy.

जगतजननी माँ सारदा ही सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड की माता और दया की बहती नदी हैं।

यह जगत क्या है, क्यों है ?

(What is this world and why does it exist?)

१.

नान्यदेका चित्रमाला जगदेतच्चराचरम्। 

एष वर्णमयो वर्गो भावमेकं प्रकाशते।। 

        1.' After all, this world is a series of pictures. This colorful conglomeration expresses one idea only.'

        

        १." सत्य-सा प्रतीत होते हुए भी, आखिरकार- यह चराचर जगत् सतत परिवर्तनशील छाया-चित्रों की एक श्रृंखला मात्र ही तो है। और चलचित्रों के इस सतरंगी छटा-समुच्चय के द्वारा केवल एक ही उद्देश्य अभिव्यक्त होता है।"

 मानुषाः पूर्णतां यन्ति नान्या वार्त्ता तु वर्तते। 

 

पश्यामः केवलं तद्धि नृनिर्माणं कथं भवेत्।। 

       2. 'Man is marching towards perfection. That is -- ' the great interest running through. We were all watching the making of men, and that alone.'

        

        २.  अपने भ्रमों-भूलों को त्यागता हुआ - मनुष्य क्रमशः पूर्णत्व प्राप्ति # की ओर अग्रसर हो रहा है ! ' इस  संसार-चलचित्र रूपी धारावाहिक के माध्यम से हम सभी लोग अभी तक केवल मनुष्य को ' मानहूश ' अर्थात यथार्थ 'मनुष्य ' बनते हुए देख रहे थे !

[# 'The whole-hearted Man'- पूर्ण विस्तारित हृदय वाला मनुष्य- या (100 % पूर्णतः निःस्वार्थी मनुष्य या देवमानव बनने की दिशा में अग्रसर हो रहा है। ]

        [I have seen Swami today. He told me how, as a child of thirteen, he came across a copy of Thomas à Kempis which contained in the preface an account of the Author's monastery and its organization. And that was the abiding fascination of the book to him. Never thinking that he would have to work out something of the sort one day. "I love Thomas à Kempis, you know, and know it almost off by heart. If only they had told what Jesus ate and drank, where he lived and slept, and how he passed the day, instead of all rushing to put down what he said! Those long lectures! Why, all that can be said in religion can be counted on a few fingers. That does not matter, it is the man that results that grows out of it. You lake a lump of mist in your hand, and gradually, gradually, it develops into a man. Salvation is nothing in itself, it is only a motive. All those things are nothing, except as motives. It is the man they form, that is everything!" And now I remember he began this by saying, "It was not the words of Shri Ramakrishna but the life he lived that was wanted, and that is yet to be written. After all, this world is a series of pictures, and man-making is the great interest running through.
